The Drive-In Fest x Courvoisier x Lyft

OBJective: Create a safe and community friendly outdoor music event during the pandemic.

COVID-19 presented some challenging obstacles for brands and event curators. This caused us to think outside the box a bit. In August 2020, we launched an outdoor music festival experience known as The Drive-In Fest. The evening featured a night of live music from R&B artists Lloyd, Bobby V, Pleasure P, and local Chicago hometown heroes Do Or Die. We partnered with liquor brand Courvoissier and Lyft to bring this experience to life. To manage safety precautions, each vehicle was given a designated driver wristband. To enforce safety, alcohol sales were strategically aligned to end at the perfect time during the event to ensure all patrons made it home safely. We also teamed up with Lyft to offer a VIP option for attendees who preferred to bring lawn chairs vs. driving their own vehicle. The Afrotrak team, alongside our partners, became the first Black concert promoters to produce an experience of this kind on Soldier Field’s parking lot, ultimately drawing in over 300 vehicles. It would go on to receive coverage from BET, Rolling Out, Chicago Sun-Times, Chicago Tribune and more.
